Responsibilities

This is a unique opportunity if you would like to work abroad and be part of a global embryology team. We are looking for an embryologist to join our global embryology team. The first 18 months you’ll be based in Orlando, Florida where you will work in our laboratory as part of a team of healthcare professionals with various backgrounds. You will play a vital part in fostering the ongoing success and growth of Cryos. Thereafter you’ll return to working in Aarhus, Denmark at the Cryos International headquarters. Primary Tasks Participating in daily clinical laboratory procedures related to hands-on operation of the embryology lab ORL and at host clinics, including oocyte retrievals and stripping/cryopreservation procedures with a side focus on embryo development. Supports the recruitment, reception and counselling of donors / client depositors. Responsible for processing, storage, shipping, receiving of tissue (bank) specimens, reporting, and maintaining records of test results. Follows the laboratory established policies and procedures strictly and in good manner. Participation in SOP and Form reviews and audits. Responsible for maintaining relevant lab equipment in proper working condition in Cryos ORL and at host clinics. Handles and coordinates stock and inventory in ORL and at host clinics. Alerts supervisory personnel of laboratory stock needs. Oversees/assists with Quality control and Quality assurance of embryology lab ORL and at host clinics. Supports regulatory compliance in US and participates in maintenance of all regulatory licenses including ISO certification. Frequent travels to host clinics for retrievals and cryopreservation keeping a high standard of collaboration and occasional travels to, or participates online in, reference clinic training for warming Cryos oocytes in US. Flexible regarding working hours, which may include some weekends.

Profile

You are a Danish citizen and have a bachelor’s degree or higher in Reproductive Biology Sciences. You are willing to travel for retrievals and cryopreservation at host clinics and occasionally to our international sites for training and collaboration. You are able to work independently under the direction of our global embryology team lead. Being proficient in English is essential. The ideal candidate will have the following experience and qualifications A minimum of 3 years of verifiable embryology experience in an IVF clinical setting Proficient in all aspects of clinical embryology QC/QA management knowledge Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Reproductive Biology Sciences
